I just received El from Kayodo this morning. I made a post about this figure a while ago and I was waiting for her till this day. The prototype was quite exiting and I was waiting to see how the PVC counterpart would look like. And to be quite honest, this figure is astonishing. The details are quite amazing, the paint job is very precise and the sculpt is perfect, no mold lines except on the hair, but the goggles that comes with the figure hide this perfectly. The price tag isn’t going through the roof either, and I guess that it’s because El isn’t from any manga or anime, thus you don’t have to pay for the license.

For this shooting session, I decided to use my fancy computer as a background, to give it a “futuristic” feel and a dark mood. For the first part, I used my lights and my reflectors as I always do, and for the second part i went with only the light provide by all my computer mods and my flat screens. Not the best to make “descriptive” pictures but it sure gives a nice atmosphere to the pictures.

but that’s just a point of detail. And a lot more is at the corner, waiting for you. Even more gore than berserk, say hello to Punie, the magical girl !

Now you put that into your mental shaker, and what you get is a violently entertaining anime.

Making fun of the magical-ecchi-kawaii genre, Dai Mahou Touge is a politically incorrect comedy. The magical Realm is a fascist state and Punie’s nickname is “the japanese submission empress”. The anime is criticizing the American empire - which is more visible in the four Omake.

PS: I strongly not recommend this anime to hematophobics (They know who they are) and to children, of course (Some characters are even more unpolite than a highway prostitute ^^.)

Hey! been a long time since I didn’t spend some time with my EVA’s. They started to fell lonely, so I decided to watch TV with 03. As Gally was taking that picture, he was like “you mean Evangelion isn’t aired anymore? WTF?” he was kinda pissed off. So he went out to shoot some pigeons with his new laser beam cannon, just to relax a bit. I’ll show you his new toy in the next issue

This is a wallpaper i did a while ago, and since I don’t have much time to play with the EVA’s, I thought I would share. Yes, there’s a tit in the picture and for those who wonder what the kanjis mean, they mean “snake”. This picture goes well on a black background so even if it’s smaller than your screen, just center it and set a black background.

I know it’s a bit late, but I’m like that, I need a shotgun pointed at me to get to work. Same for travel organization. This summer, I’m going to Japan with my GF and the now famous ViOtaku for a 20 days trip. So I have to prepare the trip, book the hotels, see what’s can be done there, book a nice car with a GPS, all this kind of stuffs. I’ll bring tons of pictures and stories from there and I’ll put them in there. I hope I’ll find places to sleep for the three of us for the whole trip, cause it’s getting pretty tricky to find an hotel in Tokyo.

I’m leaving on the 9th of august, so I have to complete all the websites I’ve been starting this month, and I can tell you I got an ARMY of them. So I guess the blog will be a bit slow from now until I’m done with my designer’s job. I may update every once in a while though, so keep checking in (something tells me my EVA’s have something in store)…

And guess what? Mr Super Rats himself is featuring OtakuKun in his blogroll, if you don’t know him yet, i suggest you drop by his “happysoda” and see what this guy can do with two desk lamps, a PVC figure and a camera.

Here we are, back from the Japan Expo 2007 that took place in Paris. We’re coming back, loaded with goodies and memories. We met a lot of friends there , and the atmosphere was really cool. Tons of fun, awesome cosplayers, smiles, people that pose in front of the camera, Japanese female wrestlers, pimped rides, Gothic Lolita’s, some pretty nice figures and some ugly bootlegs, a human sized gundam and some rock&roll. Hi as you may not know since you are reading this post in english and thus, don’t live in France, we’re about to have what’s the most important event about the rising sun country culture, the Japan Expo. OK you can laugh at our fancy convention name (not too original, i agree) but this this is huge, and it’s hype too. a bunch of japanese stars and mangakas, cosplayers, otakus from all over the FRANCE.

Not exited as I am, then stay tuned for the France biggest event report on the Japan Expo 2K7, comming on monday. You’ll see oiled females fighting in transparent mud, a talking gundamn, an EVA giving me a LAP DANCE, our SEXY hostess in our TIGHT otakukun tshirts promoting the site with our SLEEK business cards. and a whole bunch of crazy stuffs too.

I know it’s not new stuff, but I recently bought those too figures and was pretty satisfied with them, so i decided to make some decent pictures to show’em off. They are the figures from the manga entitled “le cirque de karakuri” in french in the text, edited by Megahouse. Those are really nice figures with detailed sculpt and painting (as usual wiith megahouse) and I really like the poses (especially Eleonor). I didn’t do a wallpaper for two reasons; first, I’m lazy, second, I’m busy like a one legged man in an ass kicking contest. So it’s a bad combination for one blogger. Anyway, just enjoy those pictures as I enjoyed taking it. No lights were harmed during the photo shoot, cause i only used the free beautiful sun we have here in the south of France.

For those who aren’t curious (and for the others too) I have changed my photo galleries system into a neat, cool yet simple flash galleries. The previous system was slooooow and it was quite a pain in the ass to reach the last picture. The new one is lightning fast and simply good looking.
